How To Use The Accu-Chek Aviva Test Strips
Something Roche Diagnostics is proud of about their Accu-Chek Aviva glucose meter, is that in a study, 97% of the testers fill on the very first try. So this should be easy for most of you. To take your first test, you simply place the test strip into the glucose meter. This should display your code. Match the code with number on your test strip bottle. These have to be the same test strips, that is why you never place test strips in any other bottle other than the one they came in. Once the blood sample icon is displayed on your Accu-Chek aviva glucose meter, you are ready to test. Using the lancing device, take a sample in the location you and your health care expert (typically your finger tip) have agreed is the best for your diabetes. Apply that sample to your Accu-Chek test strip on the front edge (yellow window). The Accu-Chek aviva glucose meter will display on the screen a flashing hourglass as the sample is absorbed. Aviva Test Strips have a great wide mouth feature
Finally a test strip that is not so small I can hardly hold it, let alone find it if I drop it. I am not sure what these guys where doing, if going for the smallest test strip or what. aviva got it together and decided to offer something easy to hold and user friendly. Going to these test strips was like going from one of these little golf course pencils back to a standard pencil, our hands need some size or it just does not work. Besides this as my focus, the Accu-Chek aviva test strips offer correct readings and process quickly.
The best blood glucose test strips!
I have been a fan of Accu Chek for a while and when they came out with the aviva Blood Glucose test strips my loyalty to this brand was locked in. I have always experienced quality products and reliability with Accu Chek and to this day can not think of any glucose meter that is in the same league. I would say this is the major leagues and the other guys are fighting in AAA just so they can play ball with Accu Chek. As a diabetic, I want them fighting for the best product. because in turn they are fighting for my quality of life and potentially my life.
Viva the Aviva!
I am a new fan of the aviva line of blood glucose testing products and really am impressed with the wide mouth design of the test strips. They make the application process simpler than in past testing. The shape is very easy to understand what end goes in the meter and where to apply the blood glucose sample. I have had in the past, test strips that it was a pain to figure out and remember what end was what. It is a breath of fresh air not to have to think much every time I test. I highly would recommend the aviva glucose meter and aviva blood glucose test strips to everyone reading this, an A+ product.
Accu-Chek Aviva Test Strips
The Accu-Chek aviva test strips are unique with the wider design and easy to apply features. I found the bright yellow port with dark blue borders so easy to see and apply even in the evenings. With the wider strip feature of the Accu-Chek aviva test strips, I am not dropping the darn strips every time I take my blood glucose tests anymore. It was expensive before because I refused to re-use a strip after dropping it. Sometimes smaller is better, but if you can not even pick the things up then whats the point. I found that the Accu-Chek aviva test strips are way more accurate and require a very small sample.
Accu-Chek Aviva Test Strips
I have used the Accu-Chek aviva test strips for a few months now and find these to be very simply to hold and add blood samples to. With this wide mouth technology, I am not fumbling my test strips around and dropping them while testing. It is true that the accu-chek test strips test right the first time, because a have yet to get a bad test or mess up on one strip. Experimenting with my other, older glucose meter, I have found these test strips to be much more accurate to my glucose readings.
