Contour USB Meters are now officially my favorite Glucose Meter
These have to be one of the best glucose meters available as of 2012. I have yet to find in searching my other options a more advanced meter with the same ease of use and functionality. What is really awesome about the USB meter is it's ability to double as a USB device so you don't have to carry around a cord or other form of plug in product.
My experience with the Contour USB Glucose Meter
I have used a handful of glucose meters as a diabetic over the last 15 years and can say I have experience as a user. Over the years I have seen an improvement in blood glucose testers for accuracy and other valuable features. In this time, I have used USB devices in the work that I do and also have seen this technology develop and grow. For the first time, the two technologies have merged into what is a USB glucose meter in the truest sense. The Contour USB meter is not a fat glucose meter with some USB sticking out, they literally made it a USB stick with glucose meter software and buttons, simply amazing! I am in the computer industry and can not get over how advanced the Contour USB meter technology is. I believe this took multiple companies and manufacturers to make it all happen. What really amazes me (because I know the average person might take this technology for granted) is the fact that this is a diabetes product, not am ipad or other device that can potentially reach every person, it is still narrow in respect to the amount of money invested. Anyways, as it is obvious, I love the Contour USB Glucose Meter's technology and have found it to be a reliable blood glucose tester.
The Contour USB is reliable and user friendly, yet powerful.
I have been using the Contour USB glucose meter for the last three months and have to share my satisfaction. I have found the Contour USB to be reliable while testing and it's software never fails. The device is compact and the greatest feature of all, is you can plug the Contour USB meter into your computer and manage your blood glucose results in seconds. Awesome glucose meter!
USB is the way to go!
I am on my second glucose meter and ended up getting the Contour USB glucose meter for the simple fact that it looked like a cool meter to own. I have to say it is the only glucose meter I use now and is not a travel only meter. I use this meter wherever I go and find that is has such good accuracy and usability it is not worth having a second meter. I believe the Contour USB glucose meter is one of the best products on the market today and way better than my Compact Plus I was using.
USB Glucose Meters are the bomb!
I never thought I would upgrade from the Breeze2, but after getting the Contour USB meter as a secondary I am hooked. I was looking for a compact glucose meter as what they call a side kick to your regular meter. Coming across a website on the USB meter, I could not find anything much better looking and with so many great features. Eventually I ran a comparison here at compare diabetic testing supplies and the Contour USB won! The crazy thing is, after taking it home and using for a month or so, it beat out my breeze2 as well. I now use the Contour USB for around the clock testing and have yet to pick up the other meter. I have to say if you are not using the Contour USB glucose meter than your just not as cool as me ;-) have a great day everyone!
